Dr. Jin Yongil

Dr. Jin is a compassionate and skilled general dentist dedicated to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University.

Following dental school, Dr. Jin completed his General Practice Residency at Woodhull Hospital in New York City, where he received advanced clinical and didactic training. His residency placed a strong focus on caring for patients with complex medical conditions and managing dental treatment for those who are medically compromised. This experience allows him to provide safe, comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

 Dr. Jin offers a full range of dental services, including crowns, fillings, root canals, extractions, dentures, and implant restorations. He strives to make every patient feel comfortable and informed throughout their dental journey.

As a proud Korean American, Dr. Jin is fluent in both Korean and English, which allows him to connect with a diverse community of patients and make them feel comfortable in their care.

Patient Impact (a personal success story with a patient)

During my residency in New York City, I met a young woman who had severely damaged her upper front teeth – from canine to canine – due to extensive cavities. When she first came to me, she was in tears, saying she just wanted her smile back and that no one had been able to help her. 

I knew this case would be challenging, but I was determined to restore her smile. Through careful treatment, including root canals and crowns, I was able to rebuild her teeth and bring back her confidence. On her final visit, she looked in the mirror and, overwhelmed with emotion, cried tears of joy at seeing her new smile. 

Moments like these remind me why I became a dentist: to help patients regain their confidence, health, and happiness.
